Wool Care
- Cleaning: Hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent. You can use a special wool soap or a mild hair shampoo in a bit of lukewarm water, dissolve it well in the water before adding your garment. Gently swirl your sweater in the water and then let it soak for 30 minutes or so. After washing, rinse out your sweater until the water runs clear. Do NOT wring out your garment, but squeeze it into a ball and press out the water. Lay flat to dry on a towel, never hang it up to dry or it will stretch out.
- Store: Always keep your sweaters folded and not on a hanger to avoid stretching. When putting away for the season, be sure that your garments are clean and kept in a cotton bag or cedar chest to keep the bugs away.
